WHY and HOW I paint

I only paint when I get something in prayer.

I sometimes may wait for months before I get an inspiration for a painting. Then I have to wait until it is an intense desire in my heart to paint and then I have to start painting it there and then…even if it is in the middle of the night.

It is usually about either my personal relationship with God or what is happening with the church worldwide. 

I do not paint just to paint, I have to have something from God, let it percolate in my spirit and then when the time is right, it just comes.

I don’t paint over paintings, I just let them sit within view and (sometimes often months later) I add to them and then I know they are finished.  

Perfection is never my goal, I believe how it comes is how it comes.
